Preparation news
The journey commenced following a Rotary meeting in June 2006 when Bruce Wright and Dave Bennetts both said they would like to do the trek. Grant Harris was brought on board at the annual Tumbarumba Art Show and from there the idea grew. Bruce's father had fought on the track and Bruce was keen to go again (this would be his third trek). Dave and Grant had always thought about doing the trek and so were keen to be involved.
